This blog is the beginning of a project to write about the film of Alan Clarke. I'm going to ignore the 60s work and cover the major stuff from the mid-1970s on, starting with To Encourage the Others. To do this I'm obviously going to have watch all the films. But only a few are on DVD, and the stuff on YouTube is of varying quality and doesn't always stay up.
